A committee of teachers and students from Princess Anne, Kellam, and CHS has been selected to plan the 19th Annual CHKD Love Run. This year will be Kellam’s first time joining the event. They were eager to help sponsor the race this year in honor of their alumnus, Abby Furco.

Last year, the $10,000 goal was exceeded by almost $8,000, so the committee hopes to set the bar even higher this year.

The CHS Guitar Club will perform at the start and finish lines to hype up the crowd. Local businesses will help sponsor the event, with either monetary donations or contributions for the food or gift basket raffles.

This year, the committee is hoping to raise $20,000. With this ambitious goal, the team is pulling out all the stops to make this year’s run the best ever. Ahead of the event, a special spirit week will be held the week leading up to the race. It will be called “Spread The Love” Spirit Week.

The Love Run is scheduled for February 11th at 9 am at Thalia Elementary School. Participants can sign up on the website in advance or in person on the day of.
