Boys varsity soccer takes first win

It was cold and windy and the pitch was muddy with patches from the heavy rainfall. But, the boys varsity soccer team was not deterred.

Junior Jack Young started off by scoring early in the first half with a fancy dribbling display past the opposing keeper.  Junior Quinten Trinidad then took the lead for the Falcons after tacking on two second half goals. The defense held strong only allowing one goal off of a questionable penalty kick decision.

The boys came out victorious in a 3-1 showing against the Bruins of Western Branch.

“Being ranked #1 in the preseason polls just puts a big target on our backs. This motivates us each and everyday to work hard and maintain that number one status,” Trinidad said.
