Falcons Lacrosse started the season off with a bang, defeating rival First Colonial (FC) High School 6-4 in a close battle.
After giving up an early goal, the Falcons quickly tied it up by a goal from sophomore Aiden Abulencia. Senior Barrett Glaser started the season off hot, scoring a hat trick and an assist, which led the Falcons to victory. Sophomore Peyton Phillips and senior Nolan Plunkett also added a goal.
Senior Zane Perry set the tone on defense after beating a Patriot Attack man. Another key defensive player, senior Tyler Core, was locked down the whole game, keeping the Patriots from scoring any goals. Junior Thatcher Elliot was protecting the goal, making 12 solid saves and only allowing FC to score four times.
“This was a hard-fought win. We played with good chemistry and heart, which helped us pull out the win,” Perry said.
