Falcon wrestlers winning

The 5A Dual Tournament last weekend marked the beginning of the Falcon wrestling season. Led by a strong group of seniors across the ranks, the Falcons were able to finish the tournament undefeated.

The varsity team seeks to continue the momentum for their first home match against Landstown this Wednesday, Dec.6  at 7 p.m.

This year’s team features the district’s highest ranked wrestler senior Bradlee Lamontagne, who wrestles in the 145 lb. division. The team is also led 220 lb. class senior Chase Clark.

If Lamantagne wins this match as this will be his 100th career win as a Falcon.

“It does come with some pressure, but I’m used to it because the last two years I was ranked number two. I definitely want that 100th win and to place at the national Beast of the East tournament,” Lamontagne said.

Entering his third season, Head Coach Collin Dozier is also hyped for a successful season.

“My goal is definitely to be a top five team in the state with at least one state champion. More than half of our team are freshman and their motivation and hard work is showing,” Dozier said.
