SENIOR KENNEDY STUKES joins her team after pregame introductions

Boys and girls volleyball teams play in the state semi-finals this Tuesday, Nov. 14. The boys play at home at 5 p.m. against James River High School and the girls will play away at Kellam High School at 7 p.m.

The boys are no strangers to semi-final play, however, the girls are playing in their first semi-final competition since 2005. The boys enter the game tonight as the tournament’s #1 seed and the girls enter as the #2 seed.

Students are asked to wear Hawaiian apparel to support the volleyball teams tonight.

” The Nest helps us persevere during rough points in games and when they cheer it makes us feel like we can do anything because we know our school believes in us,” senior captain Alexis Davies-Hackenburg said.
