Old Dominion University hosted a rally for college-bound students in the Hampton Roads area on Tuesday, April 26 to celebrate the college choices of students.

Local radio personality DJ Shaggy performed in celebration of the student’s accomplishments. U.S. Representative Bobby Scott and businessman Gilbert Bland were among the speakers who congratulated students and encouraged them to follow their dreams.

Students were given green t-shirts with the hashtag “CollegeIMN” to wear at the rally. Over 1,200 students, accepted by 127 colleges and universities around the country showed up for the “signing day” rally.
