What Happened: The Falcons fought an air battle last Friday in the Homecoming game against the Landstown High School, soaring past the Eagles with a score of 24-6. After a long week that included a bonfire, spirit days, a pep rally, and a Homecoming parade that showed off Class floats and the Royalty Court; Falcon football players still managed to come together for the “W”.

Key players: D.J. Johns scored a touchdown with a rush for 30-yards. Jordin Cooper scored two touchdowns, one of which was off a 30-yard reception in the late third quarter.

Quotes:  “We were successful because we have been working hard all week and our defense was great. We were also the more aggressive team,” Johns said.

Key moment: The kairotic moment of the game was when Johns scored on the first down of the game, which gave the rest of the team motivation.

Up next:   The Falcons will face longtime rival, the Patriots of First Colonial on Friday, October 21, at 7 p.m.  This match-up not only marks yet another battle between the Falcons and the Patriots, but is also senior night for players who will graduate with the Class of 2023.
