Q & A: Senior captain Rachel Ruhl leads gymnastics team in new season

Senior captain Rachel Ruhl has been competing in gymnastics for eight years. Ruhl has led the Falcons Gymnastics Team to success over the last four years. She specializes in the bars, beam, and vault events. Ruhl trains with Gymstrada and plans to continue her career in club gymnastics in college.

Q: How has your season gone so far?

A: “Very good! This has been our best season yet since I’ve been on the team.”

Q: How have you been scored lately?

A: “Scoring has been difficult. The requirements are tough.”

Q: Who is doing exceptionally well this season?

A: “Grace N., Olivia R., Peyton W., and Calista W. are all super strong freshmen on the team this year.”

Q: When and where is your next meet and who is it against?”

A: “Our next meet is on February 6th against Floyd E. Kellam, Landstown, and Salem at Salem High School.”

Q: Who is your biggest competitor this season?

A: “The best team is definitely Kellam and Ocean Lakes. They have really strong all-around girls.”

Q: When does postseason begin? 

A: “Postseason starts after our last meet, February 6th.”
