“Falcon wrestling has been an incredible foundation for my life and personal growth. Over the last four years, this program has taught me that the hardest battles are won long before you step on the mat, from the early morning workouts, to the exhausting drills. CHS wrestling has helped shape who I am today by teaching me that success comes from accountability, discipline, and consistency. Being a state champion is an astounding and surreal feeling that represents all of the years of sacrifice and adversity that I needed to overcome along with constant belief from my coaches, teammates, and family. Standing on the top of the podium made every hard practice and moment of doubt worth it in the long run. The “state champ” title is more than just a medal, it’s proof of the culture CHS wrestling instills on its athletes. As I finish my senior year I hope to leave behind a legacy of hard work, leadership, and selflessness within the program. I want the future Falcon wrestlers to see that success is earned through dedication and commitment. The lessons I learned from CHS wrestling will stay with me far beyond the mat.”
