Humans Of CHS: October 2023 Edition

As a tribute to the social media blog “Humans of NY”, the Falcon Press staff decided to create a spin-off entitled, “Humans of CHS”. Staff members will roam the hall each month until they find a “human” with an inspirational bit of advice, unusual story to tell, or who simply wants to chat about life.

“My name is Laci Macan and I am a graduating senior this year! Being involved at Cox High School has made these past four years easier to make friends, accomplish my goals, and make lifelong memories. Freshman year there were very few choices in clubs, however, the spirit club stuck out to me. We made posters, received shirts, and went to home games to support our school athletic teams. The Coquettes were allowed to have a team at the end of my freshman year, I finally got to try out, as it was a dream for me since I was younger. I’ve been on the team since, while also being the junior captain and now a senior co-captain.”

“Along with the Coquettes team, I have been a part of various clubs. The most memorable parts of my experience at Cox High School have come from SCA. I got accepted onto the SCA Executive Board in my junior year. This year, I got the privilege to be the SCA Historian, allowing me to run the SCA TikTok and Instagram. SCA has formed me into a more outgoing person and a better leader. Being an involved student at Cox High School made a major impact on my life and I’m glad I get to look back and be proud of the student I have become over the past four years.”
