In celebration of the state championship win last spring, the Falcon Baseball program held a ring ceremony last weekend. The team had a record of 23 wins and three losses, losing the last two regular season games, providing extra fuel heading into the state playoffs.
The ceremony was held at Cypress Point Country Club last weekend where players and family gathered to receive their rings. During the ceremony, Head Coach Matt Ittner took time to reflect on the historic spring season, breaking down the team’s highs and lows.
“This weekend was a great capstone to the 2023 season, as the program prepares for 2024. This was a special group of young men that came together in pursuit of a cause greater than any one player. They finished their mission and left a lasting legacy on this program and the Cox Falcon community,” Assistant Coach Zak Hines said. “Most importantly, they did it together.”
The rings are simply a reminder of the sacrifice each player made to their team, school, and community. The 2023 campaign was another stepping stone in the program’s goal, to become a nationally ranked program and a regional powerhouse.
