Letters to the Editor: Climate change on the east coast: real, or just a hoax?
Dear Editor,
I completely agree with you. Some may try to deny climate change now but when the effects become their own reality, they will change their minds. Scientists have been out protesting to get climate change to be noticed, but due to our blatant ignorance, they have been ignored. If we wish to do something we need to recognize that oil companies play a major part of the problem. Though as you said, people fear an economic collapse. These worries are foolish though; what economy will be there if people are drowning? I hope we as people, are all able to change and fix the mess we’ve made.

Dear Editor,
I somewhat agree with your statement on climate change. Yes, it is happening right now, but not to the extent you make it seem. Research and observing climate change can result in a lot of media bias, as well as coincidences and ignoring of normal weather patters, The East Coast does face a lot more storms than previous years, but there were only a few hurricanes hitting the mid-south coast in the Fall season of 2021. If climate change was really effective, then why was there record breaking snow fall this Winter? Overall, climate change is real, but the extent of it isn’t.

Dear Editor,
I agree with your letter, since climate change is real and people need to care more about it. If us humans don’t do something soon, we could be losing our homes and more. Like you said in the article, sea levels are rising on the East Coast. If they keep rising, many on the East Coast would have to leave their homes. Which could cause overpopulation in some areas, and lots of more problems. In conclusion, us humans need to come together and work as one to help stop climate change. There is so much we can easily do, like burn less fossil fuels! If we don’t do something now, we might eventually lose our beloved Earth.

Dear Editor,
I disagree with this editorial. I believe climate change is just a hoax and isn’t real. If you want to save the Earth, just say that, don’t make something up just to get our attention.
