Swimming past the Sun Devils
Falcon swim and dive teams, boys and girls, are back in the pool and ready to win.
This past Friday, both Falcon teams traveled down the road to the Great Neck Recreation Center to face off against the Sun Devils of Salem High School. In the first meet of the season, both teams blew past the competition. The girls finished with a score of 231-75 and the boys finished with a score of 248-43.
The boys were lead by seniors Dan Bannon, Woody Parsons, and Jack Rogers, who each placed high in their events, alongside senior diver Joey Ladner who placed first with a score of 185.
The girls team was lead by senior Tara LaRusso and junior Abby Frey, who both took first in their respective events. Also junior Chloe Hulls placed first in the dive competition.
Senior Anna Michaud has been on the team for four years and swims in the 50 and 100 meter freestyle events.
” The boys and girls teams are both looking strong this year. We have lots of young talent and we are excited for what our two new couches are bringing to the team,” Michaud said.
