Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow (VTfT) students recently took a field trip the Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) administration building to be photographed for their “teacher” ID badges.

Additionally, HR Specialist Nancy Poole spoke to VTfT students about the value and importance of teaching, as well as the necessity of positive role models within the community.

Each year, VTfT student interns are placed in various elementary school’s throughout the city to act as teacher assistants, creating and implementing real lessons inside the classroom.

Junior Ben Darnell is one of the VTfT students to attend the field trip.

“The experience was helpful because we [students] learned how to succeed in the education field, Darnell said. “We also learned about all of the opportunities that can come from the class itself.”
