Revived last school year, Student to Student (S2S) is an organization that works to help new students that come into the school system feel more welcome.

“I was the sponsor of S2S at Landstown last year, so I knew I wanted to bring it back this year at Cox. It’s something I hold very dear,” said sponsor Joseph Neidrick.

The club places a focus on students who are in military families and helps them by giving them personalized tours of the school and introducing them to people so that they can adjust to the new environment with more ease.

“I love being a part of S2S because I want students coming to Cox to feel as welcome as possible and to become part of our community because that way they will have more fun during their time here,” said senior Gabi Goodove.

One of the projects the club worked on was volunteering at the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center on April 20. They prepared and served food to the homeless men and women that were there that night.

“It was an amazing experience. I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we do not regret taking the time out of our day to come and help others,” said senior Jake Gibbs regarding his time volunteering.
