Make it or break it
Flying high into a new season and a brand new year, the Lady Falcon gymnastics team is currently undefeated, after beating Princess Anne, Salem, Green Run and Kempsville High Schools thus far.
But the team is not taking this season lightly, as there is still work to be done. Head Coaches Mel Hartranft and Jaudon Felch know the importance of practice and team goals in order to make it to the state championship.
“The gymnasts are working incredibly hard to improve their routines every week and they constantly work on putting in new tricks to raise their overall score,” Felch said. “I am very impressed that they brought their team score up by two whole points from the first to the second meet, but they still have room to improve.”
Not focusing on last year’s outcome, the gymnasts are ready for whatever this season holds. In fact, many of the girls have approached the season with new goals.
“We are off to a great start with 2 wins and I look forward to many more with my fabulous and dedicated team,” said senior Captain Noel Taylor.
