As the weather warms up and the days get longer, students are looking for new ways to connect and unwind. For those hoping to step out of their comfort zone and meet new people, Room 136, during One Lunch, is quickly becoming the place to be.
‘Fun Club’ was created to help students make new friends while participating in a variety of interactive games. The club encourages students to try new things, connect over shared interests, and build a sense of community in a relaxed environment.
The club was founded by juniors Daryl Jones, Hudson Borte, and Zach Perry, who wanted to create a welcoming space for everyone. Currently, meetings are held every other Thursday in Room 136. Students feel safe walking into the room and are greeted by the club leaders and a group of friendly faces.
In addition to games, the club also provides snacks and drinks for attendees. Past meetings have included chips, cookies, and a variety of beverages, adding to the laid-back atmosphere.
This past week marked the club’s first official meeting, where students participated in a trivia ‘Trashketball’ game. The event gave students a chance to compete, laugh, and get to know each other.
According to club members, it was Team Tromly who took the win, and their excitement was evident.
Students interested in joining can sign up through the club’s Instagram, Remind, or simply stop by Room 136 on meeting days.
