WINTER FASHION FLANKS the CHS halls just in time for the holiday season. Dark browns, black, and cream are most definitely the color staples this year.

Everyone deck the halls as the holidays season is now in full swing, which means it is the most wonderful time of the year for some fashion favorites.

From casual and comfy family dinners to glamorous holiday parties, the holiday season always presents an array of different outfits and styles; many of these styles are recycled from previous years but are once again booming. For some, winter fashion may seem tricky and can pose some obstacles when it comes to mixing warmth and style. However, with some some smart styling tricks and including this seasons winter fashion trends, fashion can be made easy for anyone.

When it comes to the major winter fashion trends this season, puffer vests and cropped puffer jackets are coming back once again; for its perfect blend of fashionable and functionality. Some  popular parings seen in the halls of CHS have been these vests with sweaters and hoodies layered underneath in addition to a pair of flared leggings or dark wash jeans. Though the traditional, yet classic jacket style is being seen everywhere this season, leather jackets have made there way to fashion’s forefront of again. From cropped biker jackets to longer leather trench coats, leather has been a staple since the leaves began to change. When it comes to shoes; Uggs, Boston style Birkenstocks, and Hunter rain-boots are also popular, as they all have their functionality in different kinds of weather.

The holiday season is constantly filled with different festive gatherings, which means it’s the perfect time to include glimmer and glitz. Holiday party styles include pops of bright cherry red and deep pine green in an outfit or a hint of sparkle. Other than red, some popular colors this season have been brown, cream, and gold. Fabric wise, there has been a surge of popularity with velvet, sherpa, and shiny leather.

Winter fashion accessories are always including some of the most timeless styles like pearls, bright red nails, or black ballet flats. One new trend this year; however, is hair bows. Many can be seen with bows included in their hairstyles or on clothing; this is being used to add more personality to a simple outfit or hairstyles.

This winter season is filled with a perfectly blended mixture of classic and trendy styles that are all in place to keep warm and stylish. To stay in the loop of this seasons trends keep a look out for puffer vests, fuzzy boots, and the yearly dose of festive reds and glitter.
