SENIOR SARAH BAUST was offered a future teaching contract with VBCPS after completing her internship at Trantwood Elementary School through her VTfT class.

The schools’ Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow (VTfT) organization recently offered teaching contracts to five students in the program who have shown promise and exceptional work not only in their classroom, but also as a teacher intern in an elementary school classroom.

Each year, VTfT offers promising future teachers a contract to teach in VBCPS after completing college, giving students and future teachers the incentive to go ‘above and beyond’ in their internships.

The five seniors awarded contracts this year are seniors Sarah Baust (Trantwood Elementary), Kylee Hines (Great Neck Middle School), Katherine Stauch and Madeleine Arndt (Old Donation School), and Robyn Sanders (Thoroughgood Elementary).  Principal Dr. Kelly and VTfT teacher Jen Nardelli accompanied students to their [respective] internship and surprised each in front of their class of students.
