As another new year has descended upon us, it’s not uncommon for people to make “resolutions”, or goals they wish to achieve over a span of 12 months. While some of these resolutions seem attainable, some may be better served if completed in smaller increments over time.
Often, a new year brings a renewed desire to accomplish something in order to bring a “fresh” start to something that fell by the wayside the previous year. Occasionally, the resolution is new and attainable if one chooses to stick to the goal.
While many students set goals for themselves to reach by the end of the year, others found themselves overcoming an obstacles they faced in areas such as academic work, physical ailments, and mental challenges. Some students took a different approach to the new year, making religious goals.
The majority of students decided to work on their health and/ or their self-image.
“My goal this year would have to be to reach my peak aesthetic in the gym,” junior Christian Braithwaite said.
