Falcon Wrestling dominates regional tournament again

The Falcons Wrestling team recently won the 5A Regional Championship held last weekend at CHS.

The team finished with 259.5 points, securing first place and outscoring rivals Great Bridge (233.5 points), Kellam (227.0 points), and First Colonial (150.0 points) High Schools. This win secured an opportunity for 12 wrestlers to compete in the state tournament on Friday, February 21, – Saturday, February 22. The state championship will be held at the VB Sports Center on 19th Street at the oceanfront.

HW- Izaque Tomaz

Junior Caleb Rafal (132) earned a second place win. 

Falcon wrestlers who won THIRD place at the regional tournament include:
