In a stunning display of athleticism and teamwork, the CHS gymnastics team came out as victorious in their last regular meet of the season. The event, held at Salem High School, saw the team outperform their competitors with a combination of precision, grace, and sheer determination.
The team’s success can be attributed to months of training and guidance from their dedicated coach, Bailee Meekings.
“I was very happy to win our last regular season meet, the girls earned it,” Meekings said. “Now, we are hoping to place well at regionals.”
Standout performances included senior Delaney McConnell, who placed third on the beam, junior Dani Killian, who placed fourth on bars, and junior Peyton Julian, who placed first on vault. All of the athletes have expressed excitement and gratitude for the support they received not only from their teammates and coach but from the community.
This win marks a significant milestone for the CHS gymnastics team, setting a new standard for excellence and inspiring future generations of gymnasts. As they celebrate their victory, the team looks forward to continuing their success in upcoming competitions such as regionals, which will be held over the next few weeks.
