The boys’ varsity basketball team has had a solid start to the season, going 6-4 so far under long-time Head Coach Bobby Wolfe.
The Falcon boys have competed against some good teams, winning against teams such as Ocean Lakes, First Colonial and Salem. One of the the team’s most crucial wins occurred earlier in the season when they took down rival First Colonial. Their upcoming schedule is strict as they still have to play Kempsville and Princess Anne High Schools.
“The season started slow, but I believe this team has a chance. The team is coming together and hope we will make a regional appearance,” senior Hudson Bartley said.
In the upcoming weeks, the boys’ team has a chance to boost themselves into a playoff run, potentially sneaking into the state playoffs.
The boys must come together and play some high-level ball to accomplish this. The team has posted a high ceiling this season, and many people are pinning them as one of the sleepers this year. They have consistently fought to win, and cleaning up some flaws will be pivotal in deciding their end-of-season record this season.
