What Happened: The girls volleyball team beat First Colonial in an electric 3-1 match at home to increase their record to 3-0.
Key Players: Sophomore June Culicerto led the Falcons as players of the match. The Falcons were also led by captain and libero Penny Savino.
They Said It: “Beating FC felt so amazing because this is the first win against them in two years and knowing that we beat not only our rivals but the reigning state champs was just so exciting. I feel like our team really needed that win because we had such great chemistry on the court and that will only continue to grow and hopefully lead to a really successful season,” junior Kathleen Grosz said.
Key Moment: After losing the first set, the Falcons persevered and won the next three sets to shock the Patriots of First Colonial.
