RING DANCE STYLES such as the brand Faviana bring the latest style trends to Ring Dance this season. Each year there are a plethora of different styles ideas that are seemingly the perfect fit.

This year’s Ring Dance theme is Enchanted Forest, which draws in all the fairy-like and ethereal dresses that really embrace the enchanted look. And, while Ring Dance themes and trends are often unique in nature, they all boast the individuality of students’ personal styles. From flowy floral “brunch” style dresses to the classic Barbie doll pageant dresses; the formal dance season will start off with a bang with the inclusion of the seasons hottest fashion trends.

Aside from the floral and flowy trend,  “brunch” or “Easter” style dresses has also become increasingly popular over the past few years and is definitely peaking this spring dance season. The classic floral motifs, tulle, flowy silk, and pastel colors are a gorgeous addition to the springtime dance event; however, these styles of dresses have been faced with criticism for being “too” casual. Though there has been a lot of commentary on more casual style formal dresses, many students feel as though it is nice to have a variety of dress styles.

“It is really nice to be able to wear something I feel comfortable in and also something that I can wear again and use more than once,” junior Emily Stocks said.

On the flip side, the traditional glitz and glam Ring Dance dresses still hold strong. From gold to hot pink, the poofy and glittery dresses that are seen every year are still the number one style for formal dances.

According to local formal dress retailer All The Rage, their most popular dress brand this year has been Faviana.  The variety of dress styles Faviana offers encapsulate the Enchanted Forest theme and embrace the princess and royalty theme that’s weaved within the overarching theme.

On the accessories front, fashionistas expect to see a lot of big statement jewelry and headpieces. Statement jewelry is making its comeback this year, paired alongside the casual style and more “plain” dresses. Jewelry and accessories are becoming the main focal point of the look as it allows for more freedom and self expression at formal events.
