Frank W. Cox High School seniors Robyn McNamara and Laura Papp were honored this morning, receiving the Future Teacher Award. This prestigious award is offered to students enrolled in the Dual Enrollment course Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow who submit a professional teaching portfolio. Candidates were chosen by a committee of the school’s distinguished teachers.

The award is a full-time teaching contract with VBCPS upon successful completion of a certified teaching degree.

McNamara and Papp were mentored by Thoroughgood Elementary School teacher Anne Bianchi and Trantwood Elementary School teacher Robin Birdwell.
