“Spread the love” spirit week set to hit the halls

The month of February is not only known for chilly weather and Groundhog Day, but also the Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day. In addition, February brings the annual CHKD Love/Walk Run to fundraise for the children’s hospital.  Each year and the week leading up to the race, the school takes the opportunity to show school spirit and rally around those who need CHKD services.

CHKD LOVE RUN/WALK spirit week days include:

Monday (2/5) “Falcons love sleep!” (Pajama Day)

Tuesday (2/6) “Love our community!” (Non-profit and military appreciation)

Wednesday (2/7) “Where’s my soulmate?” (Twin Day)

Thursday (2/8) “Heart Frank Dubs” (Wear green and gold)

Friday (2/9) “Spread the love!” (Wear pink/purple/red)

CHS WRESTLING CELEBRATES their most recent state win, the first since 2010. The Falcons dominated other wrestling programs from around the state, scoring the most points at the tournament.

TWO LOVE RUN committee members hold up a sign in support of CHKD just before the event began. Everyone involved had a job to complete; to make sure the event was not only successful, but would benefit sick children and their families who are in desperate need of the hospitals help.
