Thanksgiving brings thankful and grateful thoughts
Thanksgiving is a national holiday that is meant to celebrate the many blessings of the past year. Generally, families hold a dinner modeled after the 1621 harvest feast shared by the English colonists (Pilgrims) of Plymouth and the Wampanoag people.
It is typical for people to reflect on family, friends, and events they are thankful for when they know the holidays are approaching. Considering everyone around the school has much to be grateful for, students and staff were asked questions about how they will be celebrating their long weekend. Stellan Stafford showed his excitement towards sharing a Turkey with his family, while spending the holiday in Baltimore, Maryland.
According to all interviewees, family, friends, and food are all Thanksgiving staples in which to be thankful.
