Senior’s last home game includes win against rival First Colonial
What Happened: This game was not only the last game senior football players will play on their home field, but they were able to secure the “W” against long time rival First Colonial High School with a score of 42-0.
Key player: Senior Jordin Cooper added to the effort with two touchdowns, one that he received in the second quarter and one rushing in the third quarter.
Quotes: “Scoring a touchdown on senior night is a moment that I will remember forever, and that I will cherish. It’s something I can tell my kids about later on in life,” Cooper said.
Key moments: Senior Dominic Theibault won a fumble recovery and returned it for a touchdown in the first quarter, which started team’s momentum and motivation on the field.
Up next: The Falcons will face the Kempsville Chiefs away on Friday, October 28, at 7 p.m. Both teams currently hold a 7-1 record and will battle for second place in the Beach District, then moving into regional play.
