Falcons and Cavaliers plan 18th annual CHKD Love Run

The Falcon Student Council Association (SCA) planned a spirit week to help promote the local Children’s Hospital for the King’s Daughters (CHKD) Love Run Race for a Cure. Love Run began initially to gather donations for the children’s hospital, as well as bring the community together.

The school’s SCA combines forces each year with the Princess Anne Cavaliers to prepare this annual event, which is in its 18th consecutive year.

In effort to promote the race among students, faculty, staff, and the community, SCA organized an entire week of spirit days to inspire student participation.  Each spirit day has a theme associated with love, including showing love for friends, the school’s colors and students’ love for CHKD.

CHKD Love Run will be held Saturday, February 26.  The race starts at 9:00 a.m., rain or shine, with no plans to cancel. Love Run participants may walk, bike, run, or even roller blade.

Participants should also plan to wear pink, purple, and red attire.  This year there is also a virtual option for those not able to part take in the actual in person event.  Virtual runners will receive their race bag and medals as well.
