National Signing Day: student-athletes sign letters-of-intent

NATIONAL SIGNING DAY SHOWS OFF STELLAR ATHLETES WHO HAVE EXCELLED DURING THEIR FOUR YEARS IN HIGHSCHOOL. All student-athletes have now signed their letters of intent to play their sport at their chosen school in the fall. (Staff)

National Signing Day, an event where student-athletes around the country sign ‘letters of intent’ to play their [respective] sport at the college or university of their choice, was held on Wednesday, Feb. 2, in the auditorium.

Falcon student-athletes signed for a variety of sports including: field hockey, football, baseball, boys soccer, boys volleyball, track, and crew.

A list of students, their sport, and the school each will attend in the fall, is included here.

Senior Mikey Farmer plans to attend Hampden-Sydney to play soccer in the fall.

“I chose the school [Hampden Sydney] because I like the campus and I am a big fan of the coaching staff and their strong athletic programs, especially soccer,” Farmer said.
