Falcon swim celebrates their seniors
FALCON GIRLS SWIM:
The Girls Swim team finishes their regular season with a record of 3-3. They finish their last meet against Princess Anne and are now preparing for their post season swim.
What Happened: The girls lost in a tight meet against Princess Anne High School Cavaliers with a score of 148.5 to 156.5. Some of the girls swam in their last meet of the regular season, while some will continue on to Districts.
Key Players: Seniors Brynn Brazukas, Maddie Brunick, Payton Brunick, and junior Stephanie Dullum swam the 200 medley relay, placing second in the event. Brazukas also placed second in the 50 free.
They Said it: “I loved swimming with these amazing groups of girls for the past four years. It’s sad to be leaving, but I’m sure they will continue to do great things,” senior Blake Sisler said.
Up Next: The girls swim team will compete for the district title on Saturday, Feb. , at the Great Neck Recreation Center.
FALCON BOYS SWIM:
The Boys had an incredible season, boasting a record of 6-0. They will continue on into their post season with hopes of winning a regional title.
What Happened: The boys won a tough match against the Princess Anne High School Cavaliers with a score of 174 to 134. The team will now move on to the district meet.
Key Players: Senior Kaelig Michel placed second in the 100 backstroke, while senior Edward Finman placed second in the 100 butterfly.
They Said It: “Going to the last meet and being able to see all my friends was really special. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been been on this team for four years already, but I really enjoyed going to senior night,” senior Ivan Gonzalez-Herrero said.
Up Next: The boys team will continue also move on to districts at the Great Neck Recreation Center, along with a few members of the girls team on Saturday, Feb. 8.
