National Honor Society elects next year’s officers

With the school year coming to an end, the National Honor Society (NHS) held elections for next year’s officers last week in the library. Over 20 people ran for the various positions. President Jason Boynewicz led the event and welcomed all of the newly inducted members to their first meeting.

Campaigning took place in the hallways and candidates placed posters around the halls and in classrooms; and, opposing applicants indirectly targeted their competitors.

“I really enjoyed the opportunity that I had to work with such an amazing group of people to help the community and just have a good time,” Boynewicz said.

NHS has exciting plans for the next year as the new executive board proposes ideas for the upcoming fall.

“Next year’s NHS is going to be exquisite,” new Vice President Charles Payne said.
