VTfT’s peer tutoring program, students help students

In efforts to expand student resources, Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow (VTfT) have created a new Peer Tutoring Program beginning this week. Now, students that need extra help in a subject have the opportunity to meet with peer tutors  everyday during each block in Room 107.

VTfT students Kloe Jones, Taylor Schoolar, Abbey Faro, Bailey Kuehn, and Anysa Basher not only collaborated to create the program, but designed the room within two weeks time. This new Peer Tutoring room has a variety of resources available to students including: calculators, paper and comfortable chairs and tables for students to learn in a calm environment.

Pictures of the new tutors are outside of room 107, along with the subjects they tutor. Any interested student can sign up through a link on the school’s website.  All students must bring a   a signed pass and all necessary materials.

“Our goal is that, hopefully, students who use VTfT’s peer tutoring services will get the help they need, in a more comfortable environment and with fewer students and distractions,” senior Kloe Jones said.
