FALCON STAGE COMPANY members Tyler Bryan (12) and Jack Davidson (10) discuss the mind of a school shooter in the VHSL award winning one-act play.

Falcon Stage Company will present their Virginia High School League (VHSL) competition piece, a one-act play entitled “First Person Shooter” in the school’s auditorium on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m.

Theater students recently won a first place VHSL award for their rendition of the controversial one-act play, as the topic openly discusses the sensitive topic of school shootings.

Doors open at 6 p.m.  The play itself is only 34 minutes in length and the cost is $5 at the door. Attendees are invited and encouraged to stay and talk with the Falcon Stage cast and crew, along with school Guidance counselors.

According to Theater teacher Michele Machay, it is important to generate an open discussion/dialogue with students and parents in order to create positive change.
