Falcon Theater presents “The Giver”

THEATER STUDENTS PREPARE to take the stage before Falcon Stage Company’s rendition of “The Giver”.

Seniors theater directors Tyler Brian and Daniel Kendall opened up about Falcon Theater’s  upcoming play “The Giver”, scheduled to begin Thursday, Nov. 16 and run through Saturday, Nov. 18. 

Q: What play will Falcon Theater perform this week ?

A: “It’s our rendition of ‘The Giver’, based on the book by Lois Lowry. There’s also a movie about it.

Q: When and where will the play be held?

A: Show nights are scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 16- Saturday, Nov. 18 in the school’s auditorium.

Q: What is ‘The Giver’ about exactly?

A: “It follows the story of Jonas who sees the world in black and white until he meets the giver. They have this ceremony and at the ceremony they are all [the characters] given assignments and his [Jonas] assignment is to become the new receiver. He meets “The Giver” who shows him that there is a lot wrong with this world, but he doesn’t tell  him out right. He slowly learns as he gets to see color.”

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5 for students and $10 for adults.
