Album review: newest Miley Cyrus

If there is one thing Miley Cyrus wont be accused of, its boring her fans. Each of her albums is different from the last, creating a new vibe every time. Much different from her previous number 1 album, Bangerz, Cyrus recently released her newest album Younger Now, containing hits such as “Malibu”.

Bangerz is heavy in comparison to Younger Nows’s light hearted feel. Bangerz revolves around  heart break, passion, and rebellion. It has an electronic sound and features rappers such as Future and Big Sean. In comparison, Younger Now has an acoustic feel, features country singer, Dolly Parton, and is more about settling down and finding happiness.

Younger Now differs from your typical pop album in multiple ways. For one, it uses real instruments while still maintaining a pop beat. It is filled with catchy guitar riffs, a mix of acoustic and electric sounds, and a rhythmic bass. It has hints of a country vibe while still managing to not be like country music at all.

Younger Now also differs from your typical pop album because it isn’t generic. The lyrics are personal and honest. You can get to know Miley through listening to the songs. The album contains a steady mix of love songs and break up songs as well as a sentimental side. It contains songs about growing up such as her hit “Younger Now”, “Inspired”,  as and “Rainbowland”, featuring Dolly Parton.

Over all Younger Now is a solid album. Its easy to listen to and has a natural feel to it. It expresses Miley’s “go-girl” attitude and over all puts out a positive vibe.
