Lacrosse face-offs, body checks
The school’s Varsity Lacrosse Club season is under way as the defending state champions take the field led by senior captains Chris O’brien, Drew Burtka, Jacob Boynewicz, Matthew Broccoletti, and Michael Broccoletti.
So far this season, the team looks to repeat as state champions behind their high tempo offense that averages 11.42 goals a game, followed by a stellar defense that generally allows, on average, five goals a game.
O’Brien has been on the club team for the past four years and has high hopes for this season as well.
“I look forward to watching the team grow and making the younger players an integral part of our success moving forward and repeating as state champs,” O’Brien said.
The Falcons have started the season with a 5-2 record and will take on the Wildcats of Great Bridge Monday, April 3, at 7:20 p.m. at the Princess Anne Athletic Complex.
