The varsity girls and boys basketball teams will take on rival First Colonial High School (FC) Patriots on Friday, Jan. 8, for another showdown in an intense rivalry.

The girls’ game will tip off the competition at 5:30 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium, followed by the boys’ game at 7 p.m.

Senior girls captain Emma Johnson is optimistic about the game and what the Lady Falcons plan to bring to the court.

“We look forward to playing our rival, FC, tomorrow night and hope to work hard and get the win,” Johnson said.

Senior boys basketball player Greg Hahn also looks forward to the face-off.

“I love the rivalry games, you can throw records out the door,” Hahn said. “The energy and excitement during those games are incredible and I’ll remember that rivalry long after I graduate.”
