Falcons take flight
Football spectators heard the helicopter before they actually saw it touch down on the school’s practice field last week.
Each Friday at 11 p.m., WAVY News Channel 10 “Friday Night Flights” highlights high school football throughout Hampton Roads, choosing different conferences and venues to recognize. Last week, WAVY News Anchor Tom Schaad chose to focus on senior quarterback Cole Johnson, who will head to James Madison University next fall, and senior teammate Jake Herslow for their superior effort on the playing field.
The boys prevailed 38-17 against Kellam and hope to continue their winning streak. The team remains undefeated in the disctrict and hopes to move on to the 6A South Region competitions.
