STUDIO THEATER CLASS recently produced and directed a video on bullying.

Students from Lynnhaven Middle School will be educated on the realities of teen bullying on May 26 in the Garrett Auditorium.

The school’s Studio Theater class wrote, edited, and shot a trailer for their original One-Act Play, “To Be a Part.” Senior Emily Brubaker created and directed the one-act for an assembly on bullying.

Inspired by Brubaker’s experiences in the school setting, the show focuses on the harsh truths of verbal and physical abuse in real-life high school scenarios. The trailer features seniors Nadja Brunsen and Regan King, junior Daniel Myers and sophmore Jessica Jaffe, as well as the Studio Theater class ensemble.

“I’ve waited to share this story until now…I really hope others enjoy the trailer,” Brubaker said. “Art is an incredibly powerful tool in making a difference.”
