STUDIO AND PERFORMANCE Theater classes visited Norfolk’s Attucks Theater to view Shakespeare’s Hamlet.

Studio and Performance Theater classes recently visited the Attucks Theater in Norfolk to see the American Shakespeare Center’s production of the well-known play, Hamlet.

Intricate performances inspired the students to experience the emotional upheavals that occur on stage during actual productions. In order to inspire students, the field trip came at the ideal time as the class is currently performing Shakespearean monologues.

“I’m so glad we got to come see this show,” junior Studio Theater student  Fletcher Travelstead said. “I’m actually doing one of Hamlet’s monologues in class, so it was interesting to see how a professional actor performed it.”
