The Virginia Beach Education Foundation (VBEF) Clothing Swap and the Virginia Beach Clean Community Commission will host the fall community clothing swap on Saturday, November 1, from 10 am – 2 pm at Ocean Lakes High School.
The idea is to reduce, reuse, and recycle clothing as an eco-friendly way to find older clothes a new home.
There are a plethora of locations around Virginia Beach that will participate in the clothing swap, including Cox High School, Kellam High School, Ocean Lakes High School, Princess Anne High School, and Tallwood High School.
Clothing of all sizes is accepted as long as the garments are clean, gently used, or even new. Donations can be made for any gender, and any type of clothing is accepted, except for stained and torn clothing or heavily worn.
Although donations are greatly appreciated, VBEA cannot accept undergarments, socks, shoes, or household goods and linen.
