The Falcons concluded a week of Homecoming celebrations with a victorious football game against the Kellam Knights. Spirits were high from beginning to end, not only cheering on our Falcon football team, but also the Coquettes and Cheer performances throughout the game.
Halftime highlights included the presentation of the Homecoming Court, who were introduced at the pep rally earlier in the day. Per tradition, halftime is also a time for Class, club, and sports floats to circle the track, but it was canceled the day before due to weather.
So, halftime was focused solely on the Homecoming Court, each of whom had a family member walk them across the track to face the crowd. One by one, each participant’s accolades were read, along with their future goals.
The Senior Queen candidates included Marlee Hancock, Grayson Miller, and Molly Rotella, while the senior King candidates were Jacob Palmerton, Ethan Rayno, and Barrett Lankford. The junior class attendants were Paige Spitzer and Tommy Torbert, sophomores, Zoe Perry and Sam Savino, and freshmen Riley McDonald and J.D. Graham.
After each member had been recognized, it was seniors Lolita Lolaj and Brycen Widhelm who were crowned queen and king.
“Being crowned Homecoming Queen was an incredible experience. Being recognized with all of my closest family and friends there to support me is a memory I will cherish forever,” Lolaj said.
