The annual bonfire has become a tradition at CHS, and for those in the know, Homecoming week has officially arrived. The bonfire, which is also a mini pep rally, encourages students to participate in Homecoming activities throughout the week, including the football game, halftime show, and the dance held on Saturday night.
This year’s bonfire was bigger than ever, including food trucks located all around the football field, tons of games, such as an 80-foot-long obstacle course, Can Jam, Spikeball, and Jenga, to name a few. At the same time, Cheer, The Coquettes, and the Falcon Rock Band brought high-energy performances.
At the center of it all is a huge bonfire that is meant to bring the Falcon spirit back to life.
“Bonfire is a great way to get involved at Cox. This year is a bit different because there are so many more activities to do while at the Bonfire. It’s a great way to branch out and meet new people and teachers. This is also the first year we will have three different food trucks and a variety of food. Everyone was also able to enjoy music from the rock band, as well as to come out and meet our very own football team!” senior SCA coordinator Tripp Faison said.
