“Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) has shaped me in numerous ways. Firstly, it taught me that the harder you work, the outcome will be what you deserve. In addition, it pushed me to step outside my comfort zone and learn to adapt in uncomfortable situations. Through competitions I learned how to think critically while asked presentation questions as well as evoked confidence professionally in myself. I grew more disciplined as the urge to be on stage at nationals grew. Finishing 10th in the country for my dental office business plan was a moment I will never forget. It felt like all of my hard work paid off. I was proud, not just in myself but to represent Cox High School at an event where 15,000 students from all over the country competed. Most importantly FBLA, has shown me with effort and dedication, I can accomplish anything. With those teachings, FBLA has pushed me to pursue my dream of becoming a dentist.”
