Homecoming spirit week: “jet 2 homecoming”

Falcons’ first spirit week of the year kicks off as Homecoming week begins; the themes for each day include:

Monday 9/22– Time for takeoff: Wear your comfiest clothes

Tuesday 9/23– Lost Luggage: Bring anything but a backpack

Wednesday 9/24– Tourist Day: Wear your mismatched outfit 

Thursday 9/25– Baggage claim: Go all out and accessory overload

Friday 9/26– Show off school spirit by wearing green and goal

FALCON'S FIRST-EVER "Spring Fling" invited students from the school's Beach Buddies club and students with special needs from schools throughout VBCPS to experience their own Ring Dance/Prom experience last week. ADMINISTRATION AND STUDENTS celebrated teachers and staff with an 80s themed Teacher Appreciation week. Food and treats were given to teachers throughout the day and a specialized 80s teacher "dress-up" spirit days were created in their honor.

"MORGAN'S MESSAGE" MEMBERS represent the school's chapter in the signature teal color chosen because it was Morgan's favorite color. All involved have dedicated themselves to raising awareness for student-athlete mental health.

JOURNALISM II, III, and IV students recently attended a field trip at TopGolf, Virginia Beach, to film a food review that included both A and Bday upper-level classes. The students were rewarded with the opportunity to compete against one another and sample some of the menu options available.

SENIOR AVA ALTAMURA represented the school's Operation Smile organization in Madagascar, East Africa. While there, Altamura had the opportunity to visit with local children and observe surgeries for cleft palette and other deformaties.

CHS WELCOMES NEW Administrative Assistant Brian Bevan. Bevan previously worked as a History teacher at Tallwood High School, until making the decision to transition into a leadership role.

After high school, I plan to attend either James Madison University or Alabama University. I intend to study Kinesiology and become a Physical Therapist after finishing school.
