Falcon Stage Company (FSC) took the 1st place spot at the VHSL One Act Sectional Competition last weekend.
Along with the win, FSC secured three acting awards for performances from seniors Henry Ehrmemtraut, Bella McKenzie, and Grayson Winters. Furthermore, students Jocelyn Powers and Matt Belcher brought honorable mentions home.
Since the win, FSC secured its spot at Super Regionals, which will be held next Monday, February 10, at Salem High School.
“Investing in theatre is an investment in the future—producing not just artists, but confident, creative, communicative, and compassionate world citizens who can thrive in any field they choose for their future with a level of empathy not found in any other discipline,” Theater teacher Michelle Machay said. “Therefore, theatre is an imperative and necessary part of the foundational education of a child”.
