“I have been involved in both the competition cheerleading and varsity sideline team for all four of my years I have attended CHS. I spent my senior year as captain of both of the teams. I spent two years participating in SCA, my sophomore and junior year, and gained experience planning and organizing different events. I joined different honor societies, including the National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, and English Honor Society. #Lunch Bag was also a big event that I have enjoyed participating in. I learned about this event from my sister, who led the event before I attended CHS. After the holidays, it benefits the community majorly to help those in need and it is a good way to give back to the place I live. I met many of my close friends from my involvement in the school. Attending meetings, different events, sports or volunteering, I created friendships that I have continued to build as I attend CHS. Participating in cheerleading brought me many friendships and lessons that I find use in everyday. I gained helpful experience that ultimately led to personal growth through the ups and downs of the four seasons I was able to be a part of the team. Along with friends and teammates, I also built relationships with my teachers. I gained resources and experience with my involvement as I met more people inside the school. Having teachers that are willing to help has made my experience here better and has also allowed me to gain recommendations for college. After high school, I plan to attend college and study either biology or pre-medicine to pursue my dream of becoming a dentist.”
