After a long well-deserved break the crew is back. Special guest senior Hayden German joins the Palmerton brothers and Heselius in this episode.
The first review of the new year was conducted at P.F Chang’s Asian Cuisine, a chain restaurant with more than 300 locations in over 20 countries. The restaurant prides itself on providing cuisine across Asia and honors cultures and recipes from Japan, Korea, Thailand, and beyond. The restaurant is known for its top-rated, diverse menu and dining environment that caters to all.
P.F. Chang’s is located in Town Center, an area that is now considered “downtown Virginia Beach”. The venue is spacious and the vibe is Asian-inspired; the decor is made up of an assortment of Asian cultural items, and the dark wood and low lighting add to the atmosphere. The dining area provides plenty of room for customers and the staff to move around freely, and on the back wall sits an illustrious bar area with televisions.
Each member of the review team ordered a different menu item that included: Chang Spicy Chicken, Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, and Mongolian Beef. The fan favorites were the Mongolian Beef and the Spicy Chicken, as each provided a unique passionate flavor. If you want to try a restaurant with an assortment of elaborate flavors P.F Chang’s will be right up that alley. Even the Orange Chicken was served with fresh oranges; this was a new feature that no one on the review team had ever seen.
The Orange Chicken dish had the best, offering a blast of flavor that encompasses the taste buds. In most cases, Orange Chicken doesn’t taste like an orange, but this chicken did.
The Mongolian Beef had a savory/grilled flavor that was another favorite within the group. The Chang’s Spicy Chicken offered a sweet, yet zingy flavor and it packed some serious heat. The Spicy Chicken and the Mongolian Beef were tied for second favorite because the flavors were so original. The Sesame Chicken was the least favorite meal as it had more of a bland taste.
Overall, the team all rated P.F. Chang’s fairly high. They noticed the restaurant seemed a bit understaffed, but they were attentive and the boys appreciated their server’s work ethic. The manager even stopped by to make sure everything was going well, which was a great marketing strategy and crucial to restaurant guest satisfaction.
If you need a new spot that will bring tasty Asian flavors, P.F Chang’s is the right spot. Their food cannot be imitated as they provide fresh ingredients and quality dishes. The family-friendly, but somewhat formal atmosphere, the food, the service and overall vibe was fantastic and we will definitely return.
